01/03: doha.

warum doha?

eigentlich wollten wir nicht hin, aber der wettergott hats "gut" mit uns gemeint, wodurch ein aufenthalt unumgaenglich war. tjo, und so haben wir die sandburg besucht, die mich irgendwie sehr an dubai/abu dhab/.... erinnert (und trotzdem seinen charme hat)

was war geschehen: auf dem weg zum flughafen und rom sind aus den 2cm schnee in der innenstadt 5 cm geworden - 2 sind schon eine mittlere katastrophe, 5 sowas wie der supergau. und darum sind wir dann 6 lange stunden im abflugbereit im flieger gesessen, waehrend der flughafen-hausmeister mit einem haarfön die landebahn vom schnee befreit hat. weil er ein guter hausmeister mit norditialienischen wurzeln ist (und daher ohne gewerkschaft beim schneesfoenen auskommt), wurde er sogar schon nach 4 stunden fertig - nur leider war der kollege, der dann unsere fluegelchen enteist hat, nicht ganz fit am geraet, wodurch wir eine weitere stunde warten mussten, bis er sich um uns kuemmern konnte. tjo, und dann war die enteisungsfluessigkeit dahin, wodurch wir auf die ablöse warten mussten... tjo. 

genug gezynt, jetzt wieder ernsthaft: wir steckten 6h im flugzeug fest, kamen dann endlich weg, hatten auch einen angenehmen flug, aber leider war unser anschluss von doha  nach singapur dahin. darum mussten wir ebendort knapp 1h schlange stehen (-> immigration) und dann nochmal auf das hotelshuttle warten. ziemlich platt sind wir dann in unsere sehr netten und von der airline abgegoltenen (nice) hotel gestrandet - und haben uns ein mittagessen spaeter aufgemacht, die stadt zu erkunden. viel zu sehen gab es ehrlich gesagt nicht, und leider hatten wir fuer das islamische museum zu wenig zeit. auch die "moderne" stadt haben wir nur aus der weite gesehen, aber es hat getan, sich die beine ein bisschen zu vertreten und den fuer eine touristenattraktion sehr authentischen markt zu besuchen.

puenktlich um 10 am abend war dann unser shuttle nach singpur da - aber weil wir dann nur mehr einen tag dort hatten, gibts die bilder davon gemeinsam mit jenen vom rückflug. darum gehts beim naechsten mal auch gleich mit bali weiter - stay tuned :)
