30/01: der copland track

und weil wir gar so sportlich sind, und die nina gemeint hat, dass wir unbedingt dort hinauf muessen, haben wir uns zu einer laengeren wanderung hinreissen lassen. was soll ich sagen, anstrengend wars, aber auch wunderschoen :)

hier die bilder, leidensweg weiter unten



eigentlich ist der copland track recht lang, naemlich 3 tage einweg. wir haben daher nur den ersten teil gemacht, 17km nach osten, knapp 500 hoehenmeter hinauf zu einer angeblich sehr netten huette. das ganze war eine recht spontane geschichte, und darum haben wir wirklich nur das noetigste mitgenommen und die paar essbaren sachen aus dem auto zusammengesucht, um die strecke in angriff zu nehmen.

auf dem weg haben wir dann einen ganzen haufen schwerbeladener leute ueberholt, die mit kompletten ausruestungen unterwegs waren... und das fuer eine uebernachtung. als ich weis nicht, man kanns auch uebertreiben. der anstieg war sehr schoen, nicht allzu schwierig, aber irgendwann sind wir dann dem geschwindigkeitsrausch erlegen und wirklich sehr sehr zuegig gegangen. endergebnis war dann, dass wir nach knapp 4:15h das ziel erreichten (ueblich waeren 6-7h). logischerweise waren wir dann ziemlich fertig, aber die huette versprach sehr gemuetlich zu werden. die leute waren auch sehr nett, und ueberhaupt der hammer (neben der szenerie) waren die natuerlichen hot pools, die zum entspannen einluden. und das haben wir dann auch getan, in unerwarteter gesellschaft: nina und william standen ploetzlich in der huette hinter uns!! die beiden sind auch gerade wandernderweise unterwegs und haben zufaelligerweise am gleichen tag wie wir die huette besucht! und nina, auch wenn ich nicht ueberrascht dreingeschaut habe, so war ich trotzdem ziemlich von den socken!

der abend war dann sehr nett, die nacht fuer mich leider zu kurz, aber was solls - und nach einem netten fruehstueck ging es fuer uns dann auch schon wieder bergab. lustigerweise haben wir fuer den abstieg dann laenger gebraucht wie hinauf, aber wir waren echt recht fertig und es war alles andere als eine autobahn... gluecklich und zufrieden gings dann weiter mit dem auto der kueste entlang, aber das ist eine andere geschichte...
